Message of Condolences

Nelson Mbeha has departed and will never be with us anymore. We mourn and remember him the freedom fighter, selfless and very kind human being who respected everyone young and old.

Above all Nelson had strong principles, determination, dedication and fearless. Nelson Mbeha was arrested and tortured by the racist white colonial regime and was imprisoned in Pretoria because his membership of CANU ( Caprivi African National Union) and later became a UDP member until his death.

The United Democratic Party (UDP) and its membership and people of the Caprivi Strip have lost a leader and human being plus. The Caprivi Strip people are poor without Nelson Mbeha. We shall miss his firm advice and kindness.

To Nelson Mbeha's family, your loss is ours; we shall not forget. May his soul rest amongst the already fallen heroes and heroines of the Caprivi Strip's struggle for freedom and independence.
